| Well after about 3 or 4 months of looking at Discovery's I decided to stick with what I know and am now the proud owner of a LWB Frontera.
Just found the SWB Frontera although brilliant off road in mud, sand and water a nightmare on the road, in no small part due to the suspension lift and oversize mud tyres. And the ML great on road but I am always worried that I would loose a bumper when going over the rough stuff.
At least the LWB Fronty should be a little more road friendly and with a sensible suspension lift and some decent A/Ts it should serve me well for my trip later this year.
I would have loved a Disco but all the one 's I looked at within my budget were rust boxes or tatty as a tatty thing that judging by the mileage were owner by captain Kirk at some point.

| Well I picked the LWB up today and drove it 70 miles home without any issues. Got home and parked it next to my SWB and could not believe how low it looked next to the shorty, A/Ts and +2" lift on its way soon after a service and then the preparation begins to turn it into an overlanding beastie | |
