| In order to place faces to the names, I have designated a special display area for members of this forum at the ADVENTURE OVERLAND SHOW Whilton Mill, Northants 6-7 October 2012 ... set up day 5th October. So, rather than leave your vehicle in the Camping Meadow or Day Visitors Car Park, there will be a place for you in the showground itself. Cost will be the same as other show visitors, but as camping and day admission costs are sensible anyway, that shouldn't put you off. Day admission is £10 per day Sat/Sun, camping is also £10 per night Fri/Sat/Sun. Advance-booking discounts are also available to reduce these rates. Simply email myself at 4x4trading@talk21.com for a Booking Form and confirmation of prices. This invitation goes goes out to all members of this forum, so if you are lucky enough to have the choice of vehicles to bring along, then obviously choose the most 'travel' or 'off-road' orientated vehicle (or vehicles) you own. I shall start off a list here and now of who I already know will be attending:-
Jas Roamingman (aka Yoda) Me! (surprise surprise)Who else?

| maadmaan10 - As it happens, only yesterday was I officially contacted by the FWDC, so now they are on board you'll have to split your Terios down the middle to be on two pitches! Nah, I've sorted it. I've placed the "4x4 Overland Travel Forum" display directly alongside the FWDC, so if you park slap bang in the centre, you will have your wheels in both camps so to speak. GirlChild - In that case, thinking selfishly I hope you're still around start of October, but I've a feeling you will be long gone by then. wideformat4x4 - It'll be good to have the Fronty there, again to show how diverse this forum is vehicle-wise. You can also tell the Frontera crowd that I can reserve an area for them in the Camping Meadow so they can all remain together. | |

| I tell you what, wouldn't it be funny to take an M Class, strip it down to its bare bones, install standard safety equipment like a roll cage, harnesses, fire protection, etc., then enter it in a bog standard Comp Safari (basically an off-road race) and see how it peforms. Bet it would romp home ... with flying colours! Okay, the electronics would probably need an entire overhaul afterwards, so could never cope with an entire race series without constant maintenance, but it would be fun nevertheless. | |

We're drifting off a bit.... but on this note, I have seen a Porsche Cayenne turned into a pickup with very little other mods and it did some amazing stuff (started out as a cat D write off)

| My polling on the FOG web site has attracted some attention looks like I have about 4 or 5 Frontera owners with their names down, will we need to book in advance for the spot in the camping field ? | |

Nice one mate, I take back all I said about you ... well, nearly all of it. Tell you what, I've made a provisional note to allocate five pitches in the Camping Meadow for your group, but as things are bound to change over the coming months, we'll speak again a lot nearer the time to pin it down to accurate numbers. Time enough. Keep up the good work! Brendan - That's shame, guess it's back to Tescos ready meals for me?
