| Was talking to Tom at Billing yesterday about our forum stand at Adventure Overland. We have a spot right close to the Beer Tent, so well sited. The question is: what do we have in our forum stand?
What I would like from members are some of your best pictures from trips past. We will get them blown up and hang them up for people to see. They need to be your own pics so we have no issues with permissions and it just makes sense that we would want to show what the forum members have done. If you have pics you would like to have displayed, we would need them in a high-res size so they will still look good blown up.
Beyond that, since this is a forum where we discuss all sorts of things about overlanding, my thought was to have a circle of chairs (10-12) around a 'campfire.' People can be invited to come in, look at the pictures and just sit down and have a chat. Set up the marquee tent like an overland campsite, which it may be because we will need a couple of people to stay in the stand with their vehicle(s).
If anyone else has any ideas, fire away!

| Might as well send them to me for now until we find a printer. | |

| Yep, a great idea Tembo. I have a A4/A3 laminator if that helps.
How are you intending to display the photos? A simple method is to have a couple of 1" wide straps (the cheap type from a ratchet - can even pick 'em up in £1 shops these days) hanging down along the back of the marquee. Laminated photos can be stuck on the two straps by any method, but I'd suggest a glue gun to stop them blowing away if windy on the day. End of the event they can simply be folded until the next time they are required.

| I've got a couple of photo's of past and present trucks so I'll PM them to you as the Forum wont except the size.
More than willing to help out on the Friday to set up the stand. My day job enables me to get hold of all sorts of display gear so let me know if you need anything and I'll bring it along on the Friday.

| That would be great...photos and display gear. I am in a conference in Berlin that ends mid-day on Friday. Am taking the Eurostar back and will try to get up for Friday evening. If not...dawn on Saturday. So if you could jump in and get things set up that would be a huge help. I will pm you my email as well if you want to send pics that way. | |

I'm afraid that I won't be able to contibute much re. setting up the display, but as I say I can laminate any amount of photos over the next few weeks, then take them to Stratford Racecourse when I go there on Tuesday 24th September 2013. I'll leave how they will be displayed in your capable hands. Whoever wants to arrive at the venue early and help stake out a few roped walkways, signs and the like, you're most welcome. Naturally I'll sort out your passes, just let me know in advance rather then just turn up. Yoda (Roamingman) I know will be there early doors - Tuesday? - but any time during the week from Tuesday onwards would help. Ta!
