| Opps! So much for the legendary reliability of Japanese motors. End of the day they are machines, and machines don't last for ever. Luck of the draw, as you say, your luck's out right now. | |

| With a blown head casket I would suggest the undertakers for a new coffin lid. | |

| You do seem to be having loads of bad luck with vehicles at the moment mate. As with most things Kevin do it cheap and quick and you'll do it twice. Better to take your time save up for bits if needed and get the job done right.
I have found this out the hard way after a lifetime of cutting corners and applying a that will do it attitude to most things only to be let down later by the same issues. Well that my 2pence worth good luck !

| Hi well got head off today, head casket looks good, not blown, no water on top of block or pistons, quite a bit of water under rocker cover done some investagation a lot of oil in turbo and pipes, not mutch water in pipes, so I belive it is a broken turbo, found oil in inlet leading to turbo fins. Motor did used to slow right down going up hill, sometimes down to 2 gear.
Any other concluesions please?

| If its a watercooled turbo the it can be a split casing, this will let both water and oil into the engine inlet.
To test:
Find the water inlet and outlet, make up a bung for one side to block it, connect the other side to a pressurised source of water with some form of stain in it, drain stain is good. Pressurise the water inlet side to around 15 psi and leave for several minutes at this pressure, any cracks will see the water pressure drop and the drain stain will trace it for you to identify the crack.
