British Columbia/Alaska 2013

It's a trip we've been wanting to do for a while and decided yesterday that we might as well bite the bullet and go for it - if we keep putting it off we'll never get round to it!

So, plan is in August next year to take three weeks and probably start off from Vancouver, head up vancouver island and maybe ferry it up to southern alaska and taking in as much as we can, hopefully including the Dalton highway (which we have wanted to do well before it was on Ice Road Truckers!).

Thinking to maybe go a different way to normal and backpack it a bit, using buses and trains and doing ferries as foot passengers and then hiring a truck when we need to once we're somewhere like Anchorage or Fairbanks.

Still a fair bit of planning and a lot of saving to do but it's quite exciting!
