Dodgy Spare Parts Are Back

It would appear that dodgy spares are back, predominantly for Land Rover and some Toyota's, anyone looking for cheap LR spares beware, often these cheap replacements are the problem parts.

As a company LR have suffered with cheap copies of original components, and some unscrupulous are pasing these cheap parts off as original parts in the full knowledge that they are cheap copies, and often dangerous.

If anyone suspects they have been sold cheap Genuine LR parts there are a couple of things to do: keep the original receipt for the sale, keep any boxes or packaging in which parts came, then contact your local Trading Standards department at your local council, and they will take the packaging for testing to see if it is original or a copy.

Any ideas which resellers are selling these parts on?

Unfortunately not, and i hoped posters on this site may highlight dealers selling them so others can avoid them.

I do know that a LR buddy of mine hates using Britpart and Milners because of these "dodgy" parts. But THIS is only a Rumour NOT fact

Milners do not supply LR parts, their main source of income is Japanese parts.

Milners supply what are termed unbranded parts, these are the main suppliers to a manufacturer and are predominantly the same components, but without the manufacturers colour schemes and logos on the component or packaging.
