Jas Delica is our first 4x4. I have tried the steepest hills around Brighton early morning when snow was fresh and Delica did not have a problem. I stopped in the middle of the hill just try if I can get moving again..no problem. I use to drive 40000 km each winter in Czech/ with normal car/ and we have proper winters, so I am use to driving in snow.I would say that the most important think is to have good winter tires and drive sensibly. I have a plan to drive to Siberia in winter so that will be fun.

Best vehicle I've had for snow is my current vehicle, but that's only because I know it well and what I will and wont do. The worst for snow IMO was a Pickup. Even in 4wd when cornering at low speeds the rear of the vehicle was kicking out. It did help when I put 300kg in the back. Alot more sturdy.

| 1st spot of snow this year, and it turned out to be quite a blizzard for a few hours. The snow did not set just turned in to mush and slush making it slicker than snot of a chickens lip for most car owners. Needless to say there was quite a few accidents and incidents where drivers had not changed their speeds for the changing driving conditions. Jas | |

| Had a Light fall of snow last week with more on the hills and it is supposed to snow today, although no sign of it yet. If we get plenty will take photos but has not been as bad as last year. | |

| It never ceases to amaze me the predicatabilty and stupidity of drivers in wintry conditions.
eg, 5am this morning Im off to local fishing lake, Its slicker than snot of a chikens lip and I come across another accident. A BMW on his way to London to work and he thought that his £50K, rear wheel drive, 200bhp car will hold to the road like glue.
The 30ish chap was fine and the emergency services soon turned up, the driver was shocked, he quoted to me "I was not even doing 50mph on the sweeping corner! Why did this happen?"
I drove off, people this ignorant to the conditions and road safety should be left to their own consequence's......

| I was going to say "a classic case of more money than sense", but don't think that plonker would have any sense in a banger or a roller! Hope the damage wasn't slight. | |
