| Actually there are slightly over ten, but who's counting? In no particular order ... Rainforest Challenge of Malaysia 2008 - You got to grab some sleep whenever and wherever you can! No, not a camera trick. That's 3.5 litres of voddy bought in the tax free haven of Andorra in 2010 - for the princely sum of 27 euros / £20 Where else but Asia could you buy porridge in the same restaurant as Salty Veg Stomach Pork Soup? The Malaysian jungle again, always ready to catch you out. One solitary lapse in concentration ... The reason why it came to grief - in a rainforest, sinkholes are everywhere. Spain 2009 ... nice!!! 2009 - Stelvio Pass, Italy. 68 hairpin bends in total, this is the 'boring' side! The jungle, where and when is not relevant. A normal, everyday supermarket, sights like this are what travelling is all about. When you Marshal at a 4x4 competition in the UK you're likely to get a packed lunch of a cheese & tomato sandwich and an apple. In Malaysia ... fish-head curry. Yummy!!! Landy Rally 2009 in Val d’Isère, French Alps at 2,500 metres - a massive playground in the heart of Europe. At an off-road site somewhere in England. "Well, it's was a challenge". The aftermath! | |

| Cheers Anthony, but like all great photographers, I keep the rubbish out of focus/boring/why did I bother? shots well and truly hidden. Give enough monkeys enough typewriters ... | |

| "Off-roadingBoyo" said about my shot of Stevio Pass ... nice set of pics, and I have to agree about Stelvio, I thought the other side was better, as there was no tarmac in places, felt like a rallycross stage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!I noticed he tackled Stelvio in a Escort van with snow all about. All I can say is he was lucky to get through that day, as this was on a recce for Land Rally in June - in the valley BTW there wasn't a hint of snow:- Approaching Stelvio from the west. Fortunately the snow plough/gritter had got there before us. The summit - recognise the tourist tat shops? Looking east it was complete white-out with the decent closed to all traffic. | |

| No, not just fish curry, but fish-head curry ... there's a big difference I can tell you. The Malaysians are obviously like the Chinese, in that they love crunching on bones 'n' stuff. Not for my delicate Western palate I have to say ... yuk.
As for that spider, it really does look like a tropical jobbie, but no, it appeared in the north of Spain - the Pyrenees to be exact where of course its even cooler than the south. Needless to say I kept well clear of that one, looks eveil. | |

| Found a few more interesting ones. All shot in Malaysia, it's impossible not to get good photos. Not my photo, but it sums up what the ex-logging tracks in the rainforest are all about. Likewise this shot I snapped. One quick shower can turn the previously drivable tracks into mud baths - and this is going downhill! Yes, he did drive all the way across! More of the same. This beastie was strolling through the camp in the middle of the night in amongst a dozen camp beds . Having spotted it I placed a bucket on it until morning just in case it decided to hunker down in somebody's boots. Released it after the world's press had sent the poor thing loopy with the flashes from a hundred cameras! How NOT to modify a 4x4. Bet he goes through some propshafts! Opps! Where there's a will ... How to gain an advantage over the competition. As if the tyres weren't big enough already! Camping in the jungle with mates and their girlfriends ... HONEST!!! Remind me again what I like about Malaysia? Oh yes .. it's the off-roading! | |
