Poland June 2013

I intend on doing a 4 x 4 trip to Poland next year offroading, looking for ideas routes and info, am told wild camping is perfectly acceptable looking for any help you can offer

I am sure that someone on here would have been to Poland.

As for wild camping, I don't see that there would be any problems. A good friend of mine went camping in Poland for years. I recall one of his favourite locations was outside @ Poznan, a place called malta lake. Keep an eye out for it.

I realise it's not Poland and the "Vampire 4x4 Tour" is an organised event, but it may be worth considering if you didn't want to go it alone - safety in numbers an' all that. The organiser is a good bloke, I know him well. A member of this forum, he also just happens to be Polish himself!

We're not going alone expect 5 or 6 trucks , so will keep looking

We have been several times in Poland offroading. Mostly in the autumn and winter ( better conditions)
Is it not possible to drive and camp where you want.
In most of the area's you need a guide and/or permissions to drive through the woods.
If you need further info let me know,

I can provide you with 2 names; 1 dutch guy who organises trips in poland or a polish guy who can guide.
Let me know if necessary

yes been to Poland a few year back had a good time went to an old Vodka factory as it was being set up as a refuge in the winter for farm workers met a Lady whose husband was from Polish Land Rover Club she was a forester and took us though the forest and had a great time also met a nice Chap called Peter who has a camp sit and he is the polish canoeing club many realy good time out there would go back any time lake camp site bit of a feast we had a place to do up this was at the Vodka place

Some feast for only four of you and a dog!
