It's The Telegraph Adventure Travel Show this coming weekend at Olympia, London

Tom just my opinion, but looking at all the people's faces on the home page, to me, are not that real overland experts, they all have a crew of people following them around with camers, so not a realy on thier own.

Unlike a lot of people on this forum. True adventuers in my book,

Thats not to say they will not give good advice.

But you know me Tom always look at things diferantly to other people.

Her name is Annabelle Bond. In 2005 she became the fastest woman and fourth fastest person to ever climb all Seven Summits, when she climbed them in 360 days. The previous year she reached the summit of Mount Everest, thus becoming the fourth British woman ever to successfully climb the mountain.

Since then she has participated in endurance events around the world: as part of an elite seven-member team led by Prince Albert of Monaco to participate in an exploratory expedition to the North Pole; Atacama Desert Crossing; Sahara Race 2009; Namibia 2009 (voted the 2nd toughest endurance race in the world).

I know she's got the money to be able to go out there and do these things, but on the other hand she could also be swanning around the shops in Kings Road and Knightsbridge like some many other socialites. No ... reckon the girl did good!

Unfortunately the majority of 'names' I wanted to see and speak to at the event were lecturing in seminars or giving talks on the Saturday, so of course I went on Saturday, but in doing so I missed out on meeting Annabelle Bond (and Charley Boorman who was the other celeb I needed to speak to) who were both booked for appearances on Sunday; shame that.

Annabelle and Charley both have the same length hair incidentally, but that's where the similarity ends!

To be honest I'd completely forgotten you are a Bond, bit unfortunate though originating from Essex ... Basildon wasn't it?

Born a cockney and proud of it,

but yes did live in Basildon, someone has too,

But moved to a better place now Sunny Scotland,

Been quite mild so far this winter, but I think it is now on its way, Snow not Sunshine.
