UK-Russia-Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan-Kazakhstan-South Korea-Japan-Australia

Hi,
I would like to post info in this thread about our plan to take Mitsubishi Delica around the world.

We will leave Uk in March 2012 and drive through Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia to South Korea or Japan. From there we are going to ship car to Australia and spend 12 months driving around OZ. Then we will ship car back to Uk.
Our time schedule is as folow:1.4.-30.5. Russia, 1.6-30.7.KZ, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, 1.8-20.8. Russia, 20.8-10.9. Mongolia, 10.9-15.11. Russia, 16.11-1.1.2012 South Korea +Japan and then 1year in Australia. These dates can slightly change.

Next stage is drive from Canada to Argentina, but we do not have money for this yet.

We will do some major modifications in March/ lift kit, long range fuel tank, snorkel, ..../

We would be happy to go with another people, so if you are out there, let us know. I can speak russian and have friends there, so we will have local guides all over Russia.

WOW !! what a trip I look forward to hearing about it and seeing some pictures

It certainly has the 'wow factor'. Amazing, and love the Google Earth image of the globe ... stunning. Yep, definitely keep us posted. You can use this forum as your blog if you want, that way you'll have a guaranteed audience from day one.

Excellent stuff I have been to Kazakhstan and Mongolia and will certainly recommend it. You see quite a few Delicias out there, so probably a good choice of vehicle, if a slightly alternative to most peoples choice (which in my mind is a good thing). dude,,,excellent,,,,,,preped my first delica a chamani and took it all over scandinavia and europe they are a fantastic truck much under rated comfortable ,powerfull ,automatic ,i have had two and im looking for a third,,,,,anyway your trip sound fantastic,,,good luck.

Delica is a great car and we love ours
I am member in Russian, Kazakhstan and Australian Delica club/ I can speak russian/ and we are going to meet so many local members, so our trip looks more like guided tour which is great. Local knowledge can help us see places which are not in the map or guidebook.

Next step is to prepare Delica for trip/ will be done in Czech in March/ and Albania should be our destination to test if everything works.

Our Delica is in Czech now. We did 1000miles non stop trip from Uk to Czech and it was the most comfortable drive. We did not get time off from work for trip to Albania, so we will do a test drive here in UK/ 2 weeks in Lake District or Northumberland in September/.
