| Well we sell them, brand new of course. Must admit I have not really see any on ebay. Oztents on ebay fetch very good money. Have seen second hand ones plus delivery go for more then brand new prices with delivery
They are expensive to have shipped around the country due to their volume rather then the actual weight.
We will have a couple with us at the 4x4 travel show at Leamington Spa in a couple of weeks.

| Hi Brendan, Is that the Warwickshire show. I'll be going to that, so I can meet you there.
By the way, what is the price of them, I haven't seen any for ages so not sure what to expect. You can PM me if you want to keep it hush.
Not sure what my budget is yet. Haven't spoke to the wife yet.
Cheers

| Hi Robin, just be being a bit slow tonight!
Just had a quick look at the Aussie site and doing a rough price conversion you will be looking at something in the region of £450.
Will have a few words with the importers and find out actual price and availability

| Robin, I think you need to revisit your plans Have just spoken to the importers, basically there are no Ozpods in the UK for retail sale and no plans to import any more in the foreseeable future. Space for one Ozpod you can ship 6-8 Oztents! Reason being expense in shipping what is a load of fresh air from Oz to the UK. Also the guy who made them has retired. A new supplier is in the pipeline in Oz but will be more expensive. So do I take an Ozbasket to the 4x4 show for you? Brendan | |

| Thanks for looking into it. Yes I will have to rethink. I will see if there is another alternative. The reason I want a pod or case is because putting the tent back into the bag is a nawse when it's wet and your cold. My plan was to bungee the tent up and bung it in a pod. 20 seconds to pack up rather than the 10 min fight with the tent vs me and the wife, squeezing it into its original bag. Cheers any way. I'll call into your stand to say hello but I don't think I will go for the basket thanks. Cheers Robin | |

| placing the bag upside down on top of the tent and then rolling the tent into the bag is the best way i have found personally i would not waste my money on a pod or basket..the bag is waterproof and a rachet strap will work just as well. BUT we all have DIFFERENT ways of doing things and DIFFERENT needs , this is purely a personal preferance and by no means do i wish to say that pods or baskets are not good quality items and that they are not suitable for others needs. | |

| We've got a basket for our RV1 and I get on quite well with it, as much as anythign for a bit more peace of mind when driving (my roof bars are shiny and don't grip well) but also as it means I can lock the tent on with a cable to hinder an opportunistic fingers.

| The trouble I seem to have is it's a little too long for the bag in the first place nad then if like I say its cold and wet the tent doesn't quite fit in width ways. Maybe my bag has shrunk or something. I'm looking out for roof boxes now but they all seem a bit short.
I remember one time it snowed and we could hardly fold it up so it got thrown in the car, legs everywhere.
Great peice of kit i just want the packing to be easier.

| yes they can be a bit tight to get in the bag we have found the knack of getting the extra poles for the awning in ours with a little jigging about but its down to how tightly you roll and fold the tent first. NOT trying to say that you dont do it correctly by any means of course. | |

| Yeah, its fine at home when it's all dried out and your warm, but it's a different matter when your cold and tired and its dark. Its the same with any tent really. | |

| Cheers I saw that one as well. I don't think it will fit because the box tapers right down at the front. Going to measure it tomorrow for length and height. Cheers though | |

| Robin, I am fairly certain that replacement bags are available. Buy a bigger bag if you are struggling to put it in the existing bag? Am fairly certain that have put packed dimensions up on forum somewhere
HTH
Brendan
PS If using ratchet straps be careful not to overtighten them as you might damage the framework

I'd agree. We used to struggle a fair bit to start with but watched Kevin from Nene overland puttign one away at a show and copied his method next time - voila! The key, we've found, is tho make sure the first roll gets all the air out and roll it in stages rather than like you're rolling up a "normal" tent - I know what I mean but can't really describe it very well I'll try and get some photos of how we lock it to the basket but have found a 2m bike lock cable with a loop on each end and padlocked at each end, will zigzag across the top and through the top tube of the basket plenty and almost to the point where you wouldn't eed to strap it either.
