| We did London to Jokkmok (right on the Arctic Circle) and back in eight days!
We took the overnight ferry on Friday evening from Harwich, drove up through Denmark and through the heart of Sweden and then to the Arctic Circle!, drove back to mid Sweden for a Canoe Race on our day off on the Saturday, then back to the Ferry on Sunday evening,
Back to England on the Monday... 3005 miles door to door!, when we go again this year, we're going to do NordKapp this year over a period of 3 weeks or so!
Anyhow whatever and however you decide to do it, I would thoroughly recommend Sweden, Norway and Finland to anyone !

| If going up to Nordkapp avoid the E6 like the plague. You can use the utility roads which often parallels the E6.
Also if new roads/tunnels are there look for the longer older roads
Nordkapp visitors centre is NOT the most northerly point there. Most northerly point you have to walk to. About 18km round trip.
A great thing to do is island hope between Sweden and Finland

Just like Sotland really. Pick your wild campsite with care (can be difficult) Local shops sell their own anti mozzie stuff and it does appear to work reasonably well. Have been up the far north in August without major problems. Don't let it put you off travelling around Scandinavia Brendan

| I suffer really bad with mossies and midges - get bitten loads and they really swell up badly.
smoky(ish) fire, bit of breeze and some high deet bug gunk seems to work OK.
while we were there, we had some good nights and some not so good nigths with the bugs but nothing we couldn't handle.
