| Hi all. I am just working through the costs of me driving to Bad Kissingen against that of flying. With a large preference I would like to drive but I'll see what time I can get off work. So did not make it last year, with a baby on the way I settled for the fantastic HUBB - No HUBB this year so defiantly have my fingers crossed for A&A in June. So anyone else planning to get there this year? I cannot really tell but has the camp are changed for 2015? Dave. | |

| Interesting! Really not sure how to interpret the English translation - www.abenteuer-allrad.de/en/camp-area-en - to me it seems like exactly the same location as 2013 & 2014, although could be wrong. My German mate Ralf is back from the fatherland this week, so I'll ask him to look at the original German version, it may make more sense. He was there with me last year, so he'll be able to figure it out. Watch this space! | |

| Thanks Tom. It does not really matter anyway as it is not much but a patch of grass (or mud) but nice to know as might help with plans. | |

| Most welcome, more the merrier! Tuggy, you should know better, dates are here beginning of June - www.4x4calendar.co.uk Question is, when do we set off? If you fancy and have the time, we can do the following - Monday 1st June: Set off from Blighty, cross Dover-Dunkirk, stop overnight with our Dutch off-road friends near Rotterdam. 2 hrs 41 mins/164 miles + getting to Dover of course. One of them owns a bar & restaurant so we had a great night with them, kipped in their garden (in the past we've squeezed in up to 8 tents there!!!) Tuesday 2nd June : Head off lunchtime SE through Holland and camp in a lovely town called Valkenberg - 2 hours/125 miles. Along with being famous for being the only hill in Holland which has caves you can explore, the town is full of life in the evening so is perfect for a stopover at a nice campsite within spitting distance of the town centre. Wednesday 3rd June: 4 hours/267 miles Valkenberg-Bad Kissingen. Arrive at camping area mid afternoon. Thursday 4th June: Show starts. Any good? | |

| My Eurotunnel booked & a couple of B&B's along the way. I leave Monday 1st June with plans to arrive in BK on Wednesday midday to late afternoon. Which campsite is everyone using - I am assuming other than the actual proper campsite in BK there is only the show campsite (by Lidl/Aldi)? | |

| My ferry now booked. We will head for the first field on the right just past the Aldi entrance/exit. Whoever gets there first, try and pitch on the right up against the hedge as near to the road as possible ... 'cause it's the shortest walking distance to Aldi beer section!!! It's also nearer to the loos, but still far enough away so it avoids any potential pong. Well, got to be practical - I'm obviously referring to the beer section again! There will be a Ralf's Disco + trailer, Dave's 10101 (whatever that is - must be a exceedingly stretched 101FC???), Mudplugging's vehicle (a 110?), my RR camper, plus a couple more I can't think of at present. Basically we'll need a fair sized area, so if it can be reserved, it would be appreciated. Doubt if we will get there first, but all the same I will have on board a length of rope and six metal pins to mark out an area. If it's too big then no matter, for one we know we are all in, we'll remove the rop at the vacant end and that will get quickly filled by any late-coming Germans/Dutch/etc. If anybody else can do likewise, that'll be good. This will be my 4th year there, so i know that all the various groups and clubs there rope off their areas, so it's never a problem. It all gets filled in the end. I feel a party coming on! | |

| I have a Defender 90. Would love a 101 but don't have room for it so really can't (& don't want) a 10101. However if it was 2 101's or a 101 and a 01 for spares I would not complain. Confused?
Dave10101 - many years ago shortly after the Sinclair ZX Spectrum & Acorn Electron era, I did not have a forum name so just went for 10101 and it has just stuck. At the time it had nothing to do with Land Rover and still does not. I'd just like a 101FC.
So I'll be at BK in a Defender 90. Never been before so have to find my way around.

| Blimey, that was in the early days of forums; makes sense.
There is one main road though the town and only one camping ground, so it'll be a doodle. That said, if there is any confusion, as mentioned the fields (it isn't a dedicated campsite) used for camping are alongside an Aldi, so simply go for the first field on the right as you pass by the entrance to the supermarket. Simples!

| Thanks Tom. I do have a few other friends going (I think) so not sure where I'll end up camping. Somewhere where the noise isn't too loud in the early hours. I am looking forward to it | |

You won't want to next to us then! Nah, we're okay, plus the area we mentioned is normally quiet at night. The more boisterous German get-togethers are located in the field to the immediate left after Aldi, opposite in fact to our r/h field. We'll see what happens. If we're near a corner then we'll fly a Union Flag so you'll know where we are ... so you can avoid us!!! Normally in a traditional campsite on the Continent we're hiding the fact we're Brits otherwise it's like a magnet for the idiots abroad, but the overland scene is entirely different - a better class of person - what what!

| I didn't say which ferries - Out DFDS Dover-Dunkirk Mon 01 June 2015 12:00 Back DFDS Dunkirk-Dover Tues 09 June 2015 18:00 Booked direct with DFDS Seaways cost me £75 when it's normally £100+. Reason was I entered the promotion code EOD75 which is for the D-Day celebrations/commemorations. Log on to www.vouchercodes.co.uk/dfdsseaways.co.uk?rc=2796135Here to help! | |

| Just the usual - fixing the windscreen washers that haven't worked for ages, topping up oil levels, etc. All good to go, all I need now is my replacement passport to arrive. Fingers and toes crossed! | |

| Back home safe 'n' sound, good stuff. Weren't the camping fields something else? I can never get over just how many trucks turn up, there are four fields full of them! Some folk go there and never even make it to the show, they are quite willing to stay in and around the campsites to meet up with their friends and have a party or three. It really is a social gathering, something that I actively encourage at Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse ... you can see exactly why now. I'll be back next year, glad you enjoyed the experience. | |

| Still in Belgium, hit the U.K. tarmac (pot holes) tomorrow and head for home. Likewise great company to go with a great show and even better campsite. Thanks again to our little camp group for a fantastic time. Roll on Billing ;-) | |
