It's a disco 300tdi I'm in love with her already and just starting the long expensive process of expedition preparing her. Mainly here for advice and guidance. Any comments advice or abuse welcomed haha.

| Hi and welcome! New to forums eh? Well, forums like this are 100% better for specialist subjects like adventure travel and overlanding with 4x4's than Faceache, Twatter, etc. could ever be. Social media sites are fine if you want to tell the world what you're having for dinner, chat about some band or follow the progress of some '5 minutes of fame' reality star or celebrity, but if want to gain some real knowledge on a particular subject, you've come to the right place. Like the man says, browse though what's be covered to date (and it's substantial) or ask away, you'll get a reply sooner or later. | |

| Thanks for the welcome guys! Only thing in the pipeline at present is fitting my reverse camera haha. Just got back from Dominican Republic so the funds need rebuilding then my first plans are diff guards and chequer plate body as there is some oxidisation on the body work of the beast. Do gonna treat that and get it covered!
Looking forward to gaining as much knowledge as my small brain will let me as my current knowledge is very limited!

| Come on Tom, get out of the dark ages and realize that Faceache and Twatter are here to stay.... Welcome Anth, Yes, loads of great info on here, and everyone will give you their opinion. I suggest you just have a look around and ask loads of questions. (the only daft question is the one you don't ask!) Everyone has different ideas, so just see what works for you. Word of warning though..... Overlanding is VERY addictive..!!!! I hope you have lots of free pages in your passport for the visa stamps.... Scott and the Global Adventure Team.... | |

I agree they are here to stay, but it doesn't mean I have to like them. As it happens, ironically they are doing a good job by keeping the numpties away from this type of forum. By the way Scott, "realize" should be spelt with an 'a' not a 'z', as in realise... unless you hail from across the pond of course. Probably picked up that bad habit off Facebook.
