Following is the list of upgrades I have made on it.

Supercharger, since the 3.8L stuffed in at the factory is gutless.
Dynatrac ProRock 60 rear and ProRock 44 front axles with ARB air lockers.
ARB front bumper with Warn 9000 Lb. winch.
Expedition one rear bumper with spare tire carrier.
37"x12" tires and a 4.5" lift to fit them.
Headers and cat-back exhaust to help with the power issue.
Larger front brake rotors and pads and master cylinder.
AEV heat reduction hood/bonnet.

And the latest addition is the cargo rack with an ARB two lung compressor and twin air tanks.

I figure the next big purchase is going to be an auxiliary fuel tank from LongRanger down in Australia and I am sure there will be many other smaller additions to fine tune it, such as addressing secure cargo storage inside the truck.

On a side note, for those that may not be familiar with Dana series axles, the 60 is generally used as a one ton axle and the 44 is generally used as a half ton axle in the U.S..

and I must say it puts what we call off road to shame. Watching these I think I have watched every single one now, I really like the look of the rubicon. So I'm quite jealous. Where about are you from exactly. I was in the states last year. I'm in the forces so I go over every now and then. If I go out again I will be tempted to contact some of these clubs to take the guys there for a visit.

Yep, your rig’s certainly looking good. Has it seen ‘action’ yet or is it still a street cruiser (think that’s the term).

Talking of terms - I realise you hear it all the time so it’s commonplace, but I’ve still to get my head around the fact that they call it “four wheeling” in the States. Don’t 99% of vehicles have four wheels? Surely the terms “off-roading” and “4x4” make much more sense. Even the most popular off-road magazine is called Four Wheeler – strange? Just an observation.

Anyway, I used to pop over to Sweden for an off-road event called Villingsberg in the late 90’s in which the Swedes for one weekend a year could drive the army’s tank range. As you could imagine, it was Fun!!! They love their Jeeps over there, so many of the rigs were like those in that FWTV video. Yep, they were good times.

To chally2, right now my home is in Wyoming but I am trying to get moved down to the Colorado Springs area. Haven't had a chance to look at the vids yet but from what you said I assume they are rock crawling. There are definitely quite a few people who enjoy this sport and build their trucks specifically for that purpose. As for myself, I'd rather go on mild to moderate trails that take you off the beaten path but don't put you or your vehicle at too great a risk of damage.

One of my favorite places to go for trail riding and camping is up the mountain from Camp Dick Campground (searchable on google maps in Colorado). Middle Saint Vrain Road (definitely not an improved road) goes up the mountain from the campground and joins Coney Flats Road to end up just south of the campground. At the point where Coney Flats hooks back to the right there is a small body of water which is also a primitive camping area. That's my spot. About 10,000 feet up and absolutely peaceful (at least during the week when everybody is at work).

To Tom, I would say that 90% of its life has been spent as a street crawler, especially the last two years as I have been working in Abu Dhabi and am only home for about 5 weeks each year and rarely have time to go out and play.

Four wheeling is just one of those terms that has been used so much (and has been around as long as I can remember) to describe off roading that just about everybody in the States knows what you are talking about when you say it. Off roading is used, just not as much.

Another term I have been seeing in the last year or so, mainly in magazines, is Off Highway Vehicle or OHV. I see this term used mainly in conjunction with specific legislature regarding OHV's and the areas of land that we can legally use them.
