Southern Spain to UK with a bonus

Arrived North West UK last night, home base, having left southern Spain in may taking in the show at Bad Kissingen on route.
We shipped Hook of Holland to Harwich opening up the chance of a visit to Nene Overland on route across country to the north west.
Apart from trying to visit and have a look at Nene Overland for ages but just not getting there the July MOT on the land rover worked in well.
We just dropped in on them and within a couple of hours we had a clean mot and a drive line oil change, gear box, diffs etc.
Cant praise Nene enough absolutely brilliant, we were well looked after in a fantastic location and with the offer of free overnight camping if we wanted it.
All in all a cracking five week wonder up through Main Land Europe with the mot and mini service built in.
About next weekend we'll start to drift south again shipping out after Billing, giving us six weeks out of the UK prior to the next flying visit for the AO show.

Glad all went well. I too will be at Billing. HQ will be with my local club - Bedworth Berts 4x4 Club. Obviously call in to say hello, a refreshing cuppa cha awaits!!!   

Good to see you had a good trip…we went from hook -harwich last tuesday…nice ferry good to be back home after 8 weeks on the road….see you at AO14…..

We reckon you should have struck lucky with the weather:D ----just like we did last year:D -----we had planned to be in Sweden again this year--- but we have not been able to get away this summer   --------hoping to get there next summer.
What do you think of Norway/Sweden/Finland and Denmark ??------Sweden is our favourite (at the moment) SOO easy to wild camp and not expensive--Norway more spectacular though----we left Finland early as the mozzies were not very friendly, but we do intend to go back there

Like wise good to hear you enjoyed your trip mate, we agree re:- Hook to Harwich ferry we were well looked after.
We're currently down in Almeria again, apparently it's the only dessert in Europe, average overnight temp is around 27c 80% humidity and well up into the 30's during the day, the noise of the Cicadas in the trees around us is crazy.
We'll be at AO Stratford, boats booked, er think we're now share holders in chuffing Brittany Ferries, blooming tourist prices, serves us right we should know better, but it's better than driving through that car park called France in summer.

we love all of them..norway was well expensive but its worth it...  ....only got bit about a dozen times while we were away....  ...thats not bad....
