| Hello to all, Just purchased a new pair of "Terrafirma" 1.5m long sand tracks.
I now need to mount these on my lovely new "Brownchurch" full length rack.
My question is this:
Do you all use the brackets designed for the job, or will a good length of thick rope secured onto the tracks do the job !.
All advice appreciated.

| The man's right, bolt them and everything down.
The thing is, how often are you going to be using them - once in a blue moon I'd wager, but good to know they are there 'just in case'. When you're up the proverbial creek, at least you'll have a paddle! You may as well therefore bolt them down as if they are permanent fixture, so they will only be accessible to you should the need ever arise.
Different if you're going to entering winch challenges, in which case you'd have a couple of large wing nuts and padlocks, but for overlanding bolt 'em down properley.

| Not really a case of a woman showing me the way, in our case its a matter of teamwork where she deals with the house and other aspects of life I have no time to deal with.

| Still prefer the beach volleyball, really can't think why? Tall women in that sport, better be careful she doesn't impale her hand on Big Ben's lightening conductor! | |
