Kyrgistan-China/Tibet-Laos or Nepal September 2012

We are at present in Russia and will proceed via Mongolia and the Stan-countries to China/Tibet and on to Laos or Nepal. We plan to enter China on around 28.08.2012 from Kyrgistan (Torugart-Pass) and take the Himalaya-route through Kashgar, Mazah, Kailash to Lhasa and then on to either Laos or Nepal. Duration of stay in China/Tibet approx. 30 to 40 days, depending on the country of destination. A possible timetable can be seen on our homepage: rowefidibus.ch. Hello Werner. Just a heads up that travel to Tibet is very resticted at the moment. Permits are only being issued to groups of a minimum of 5 people who share the same nationality. No mixed nationality groups are currently permitted in Tibet. This may or may not change before September, but I would check with your travel agent in China and have a back up route. Thanks for this info. I fully agree with the statement from wumming. This is so helpfull and gives one the opportunity to react at an early state.
It confirms partly the information we have got from our travel agent. He feels that he might be able to find a workaround these problems. Lets keep the fingers crossed.
