Hi thanks for starting up this forum and giving us a link.
great to see like minded people out there doing it.

But why is there no BRITS in SOUTH AMERICA we never see anyone its always europeans.
its the easiest continent to travel for us so far, and you do not need a CARNET thats got to be a bonus Laughing

so come on guys come over to south america and wave the flag, not to much in some countries ha ha laughing pound

hope to see more of you out here cheers1

My pleasure! Your site is so packed with information, it was a must as far as I was concerned.

A good question Dave, though I suspect the answer lays in the fact that a ferries are a whole lot easier from Spain or France to Africa, than they are from from Tilbury to Buenos Aires, Argentina or Halifax, Canada (then drive south). Then again, I may have got that totally wrong; please enlighten us.

One thing is apparent though - not to need a carnet is a big bonus, shame this wasn't a case worldwide.
