Can someone with an SJ413 do me a favour please...

And measure the tracking rods at the front please...I cant quite figure something out and if I had the original measurements from from the rods then that would give me a starting reference! I have another SJ...but thats a 410 and different rods anyway!

Centre to centre, or however, I dont mind how they are measured, just let me know what it is please. Many thanks

There is a reply buy he is saying that there is many different axle types for that model. Have a look at the link yourself and let me know what the answer is, then Ill post it if you've not got an account.

Interesting replies about angles and things but no answers to thr size of the actual rod! Ah well :-)

Ill give it some more time, if there is no definitive answer by the end of the week there is someone I know who should know the answer, It depends on if I can get a hold of him. He is currently at sea in a submarine and email access is limited.

Right...gave up on the idea of trying to figure out what rods I needed to get from Suzuki. Plus I got quoted £120+VAT per rod plus the price of the rod end. That's just ridiculous! So we are making our own using te lathe...and the advantage of doing it this way is unlike the originals you dont have to replace the entire rod when the track rod wears out, which is vey lamee indeed!





Just need to sleeve the rod over and weld it up

Very satisfying indeed :-) although doing this is sort of ignoring the fact that the SJ is a bit of a heap! But its one step in the right direction :-)

The toe in is actually 0 to 0.5 degrees.

Incase anyone is thinking of replying to the thread, the SJ 413 is no more. still have the 410...but the 413 had to go, it was a waste of time!
