Only a little update again, but the trailer has come back out from hibernation. Painted th top to match the rest (inside is staying the same - it is surprising how much extra you can see in bad light when the inside is white) and a few other bits and bobs that no-one will notice

Trailer is looking good I really like the idea of the roof tent on top of the trailer not so far to fall out of bed in the wee small hours.
Can't wait to see the pictures of it used in anger

Tom...I won't be using it - my step dad fancies this idea hence all the effort. I personally don't have any need to take a trailer

Interesting to cut and shut one to lengthen it...how much space does one need I wonder!

Pretty much there now with only a few minor touches left.

Mounting the waffle boards. Some simple brackets made and a hinged bracket on the other side with a padlock. The lids are now lockable. This wasn't in our opinion quite enough to stop the lids bouncing about - reckon the lock will just wear itself out. Added a home-brewed twist clamp (the red painted bit) to hold it down nicely:





Lids are now complete with lifters:



Simple way of securing the emergency water cans:

Yep, good stuff. Apart from the back garden, where do you plan using it first?

It will be trundled about on the road for a bit...then I reckon we should do some lanes see to shake things up a bit. After that they have a few shows and camping trips in the UK...then it is down to me to twist them into coming on another overland trip with us :-)

The trailer had its first outing at the Peterborough show. Can hardly feel it behind the Range Rover - sits a bit nose down but that is to be expected and not too bad anyway.

Got a few more ideas for tweeks, but this is pretty much it so I can stop boring people with this thread :p
