| Sorry gentlemen, won't be attending this event after all. For the full story, see ... http://forum.difflock.com/viewtopic.php?t=62966Well, am I missing something here? I know I didn't receive any tickets, but then again I didn't receive any for the Landrovermax Show at Stoneleigh either (nor did many other traders) and they are a large publishing group and have the staff to process applications! In the past whenever this has happened one simply turns up and it gets sorted at the gate; clearly I was wrong on this occassion. Grrrr!!!!! | |

| Yep, good weekend indeed. As for that coloured Belgium beer - 5%, 6.5%, 8%, strange how I can't seem to remember much after that! Yep, really annoying! More about the show has since filtered back as people who know me have gone out of their way to keep me posted of what's been happening down there - people I can trust 100% BTW. All I can say is I'm definitely glad I'm back home. More rows on the gate no less, seems as if I'm not the only one who has encountered problems. Something is wrong somewhere! | |

| Tom, I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. I didn't know about this show until seeing it here on this forum last week, and as we had nothing else on over the weekend and with it only being a 45 minute drive I took the management committee and 12 year old son with me. Errrr...... not quite the short of show I was expecting I have to say. Calling it a 4x4 show - could probably have them under the trades description act! Having read your "discussion" with the event organiser and seeing comments like they had no more room for trade stands, camping, etc - well in my option nothing could be further from the truth. They could have doubled both and there still been free space. If fact as we wondered round the few stands we did comment they where a bit spaced out. I wondered if there where any restrictions placed on the event by the local authority in terms of its size, but the organiser made no mention of it. As I say not the sort of show we where expecting, but tried to make the most of it anyway. Won't be going back again though! | |

| Opps! Thanks for letting us know your experience there, only I wish I hadn't mentioned it on the forum now. The thing is, whether I can attend a 4x4 event or not, I always try to promote or at least mention the show/competition/exhibition as I view it as a case of ... "us against them". The 4x4 fraternity is minute compared to other hobbies and pastimes, so I reckon we have to stick together to survive. On this occasion it's obvious the jobsworths at Berks 4x4 Show were living up to their name ... BERKS! | |

| I noticed that, wonder if it was connected to the fact they have been receiving so much grief? Perhaps! Made a rod for their own back I'd say, can't say I'm too sympathetic. Just calming down now, just dried out now!!! Not specifically that show, but why is it that the weather can be glorious all week, then come the weekend the heavens open? It happens so often as well, clearly somebody 'up there' has a warped sense of humour. | |

Not specifically that show, but why is it that the weather can be glorious all week, then come the weekend the heavens open? It happens so often as well, clearly somebody 'up there' has a warped sense of humour. There is a scientific reason. Something to do with industry stopping for the weekend which causes a shift in something, making it rain. | |
