| LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2 LESS THAN 50000 MILES This is the sale of my beloved original face lift D2 GS that I have had for the past three years, where it has been maintained regardless of expense. I bought it from a Land Rover dealer in December 2007. It was originally a show vehicle and then some bloke bought it and did very little mileage. It was serviced by land rover dealership for the first 5 years of its life and I serviced it through a reputable 4x4 garage. So it still has FSH. When I bought it, it came with a land rover warranty something they wouldn't give to any old discovery. They had confidence in this vehicle and so do I as it has been faultless in the time I have had it. It has been waxoyled annually and the chassis has been jet washed anytime it has had mud put near it. I have used it for light off roading on tracks when game feeding/shooting so the raised suspension, low box, hill descent control and traction control are used regularly so unlike some land rovers this one has everything working. And I like to say if you don't use it you lose it. Same for Air Con. I haven't been scared of the extra 5p a trip to put air con on so my seals haven't dried up and they're still working fine. It hasn't been used on any pay and play sites. What's the point in getting mud everywhere. So again it has been used off road but not excessively and only within its limits on what could be described as bad farm tracks. It has no dents on the body work, there is a damage to the offside rear light which cost about £30 and a few marks on the rear bumper. There are minor scratches from a roof rack and one minor one on the side (seen in photo). Both can be polished out and I will do that if you want it all nice and shiny. The sun roofs don't leak and there has not been a problem with the air suspension. And no 3 amigos. It is a 7 seater but at the moment it has the boot bins in but can be swapped back if you want. So this is a 7 seater or a 5 seater with boot bins. Can be both but not at the same time. I was preparing it to go overlanding so I just fitted brand new tree sliders worth £250. Less than 2000 miles ago it had brand new AT2s fitted all round worth £550. It has a Torque Performance metal bumper with the lower fogs still in and I have modified this so it still has the light washers in and I just fitted a steering guard. If you don't want these I will remove the tree sliders and the steering guard and give you £300 back. I have retro fitted the cruise control which is the best cruise control I have ever used, ergonomically in the perfect location, I have driven from London to Newcastle all the way up the M1 just by driving with my fingers. This car sounds great less than 50000 miles on the clock lots of add ons, great reliable car. Why am I selling it, I must be mad. Well I really really want a Fwd control 101. (I am mad). So this one has to go. Like I say I don't really want to sell this, but I will if it helps me get a 101. So to summarise If you want · A low milage · Reliable · FSH · New All Terain tyres · A few off road add ons Discovery 2 you can't get better than this. £7600 with all the mods, and usual great d2 insides air con, cd, etc. You might see cheaper D2s but this one has proven track record of reliability, land rover service history and until almost 2 years ago a land rover warranty Taxed in November MOTed in October Come have a look. RG2 If you are interested please come and view it. Don't be silly and bid on a car you haven't seen. Any questions please email. If you want some more photos, then email. Forgot to say that the drivers door does not unlock on the key fob. It locks on the fob and the central locking works with the key. I haven't felt the need to fix it. But it would cost £60 for the new actuator. RG2

| Looks like a lovely Disco2. Hope you can sell it for the money you want.
BUT
I've been there, done that and got the T-Shirt, and i can tell you that for me the grass was NOT greener on the other side. I sold a landcruiser kitted out for a pickup kitted out and i was gutted when i realised what i done.
If you have spent the money on your vehicle and it WORKS, is it necessary to replace it with something that could be a hole in your pocket?
I don't mean to criticize, but if you dont really want to sell it, why?

| mate,,it does look like its had a bit of tlc and 4k is about the going rate for a good one,,,but you must remember,,,its a completely different animal from your D2,,, ,,,,if you have the means,,buy the 101 before you sell the D2,,its like marmite you will love it or hate it,, ,,your D2 is in a different class,,,when you drive the 101 you will get back ache you will bang your head getting in every now and then your ears will still be ringing when you get out you will get pissed off with everybody passing you and wondering why has it taken me so long to get here,,oh and the fuel bills,,,,,,,,,,,but the upside you will have a smile from ear to ear its like nothing else you have ever driven,,,,, | |

| I started off with a 88 and then a 109 then 2 110s and now I'm a puff with a d2
I reckon I could rough it.
The d2 will go and be replaced by a muggle car and a dedicated off roader.
Thats the plan | |

Ive not come across many and I will admit im interested. They came with a petrol V8 permanent 4x4 with central diff lock. I have been told like an old rang rover. High/Low range Ideally I would like one that has been coverted with a 200TDI but the one I am looking at, is LPG which might work out for what I want it for any pros for lpg vs deisel I don't count fuel cost as one as it uses twice as much as a deisel

| Sound good. I suppose a lpg's not bad in this country or even europe but im not so sure on the avalibility of LPG in remote places. Obviously you could still go on petrol. A diesel lump in it might be better, On fuel consumption and torque but by swaping the engine it could be something else to go wrong when overland??? Ive looked at the interior of the 101 via google search. I reccon if you could get a pair of captain chairs with armrests it would be reasonable comfy. | |

| these were bucket seats i put in my last 101,i got them off fle bay new,,they were quite comfy and were adjustable, but very hard to find small seats that will fit in,,, and i fitted a 200 TDI in the last one with an LT77box so it had a cruising speed of 55mph at 1500rpm and returned 26-28mpg,,i was well pleased with it,in the one im doing just now i have put a 2.4VM diesel in it out of a range rover .... | |

| I could not see the attraction with the 101 until now seeing the internal shots of your's I completely get it
Although if I had the disco I think I would tow a road style caravan park in up and use the disco for long days out in the wilds returning to the caravan at night and moving on to pastures green the next day that way I would keep the wife moderately happy, she won't do what the wild bear's do.
