Traction Aids Empty
PostSubject: Traction Aids   Traction Aids EmptyMon Feb 21, 2011 2:11 am

I have the oportunity to buy a very cheap ARB Air operated diff lock and have it installed. New.

To be honest i dont think i need it. I realy havent got stuck yet.

My question to you all is: If i get it, should i put it in the rear axle or the front. My thought is the front because i have a LSD in the rear. And on paper a Locker & LSD would provide more traction than just a Locker?

Im cautious with the ARB locker, i have had a diff lock before on my old nissan patrol, this worked fine as it was designed for that vehicle and manufacture approved. I didnt know if by putting a locker in my front axle on the Terracan, this would damage the front diff and other parts due to not being designed to have a front diff lock as standard.

(ARB Diff lock is a Mitsi Shogun front 28 spline, 32 rear).

Any info would be great.
