| Looks good. Is the position of the snorkel hidden by the pillar when looking out from the inside?

TJ Yes, snorkel is hidden by the pillar so you can not see it from inside.

| Thats handy! Might be worth you making a new topic in the "Vehicle & Equipment Custom Builds" section showing the unit and maybe a list of parts and assembly. Could be useful to alot of people.
Where did you get your SS exhaust from?

TJ SS exhaust was fitted in Brighton. It is PowerFlow system/ not sure about spelling/ and here is only one dealer and he is VERY good.

| Couple Questions about your rig that I would like to incorporate in to the Terry.
1: Is that awning just a clip on to the roof rack or is it one of those retractable awnings?
2: I will be removing my rear seats to make a single or double bed over storage compartments, what made you chose steel over wood?
3: What sort of a mattress or bed base do you use? Is it custom made, an air bed? What size?
4: Under-seal - From the pictures (I could be wrong) It looks like the chassis and underneath body has been under-sealed or painted black. If it has could you tell me what type of under-seal or paint was used and if you got it done by other persons or a company could you tell me (or PM me) the cost so I can get a ball park figure on what to look to spend.
Thanks
Jason

Jason Hi Jason, 1. awning is just lies on the roof and is attached with bungee cord to rock sliders on the other side of car. 2. we have steel frame with bed slats 3. mattres is custom made in Czech ..8cm thick soft foam 4. you are wrong..nothing has been done You can check pics here www.delica.rajce.net or I can take some pics for you if you want. We wanted bed slats because of better air circulation under the mattress. Everything was custom made in Czech because no one wanted to do it in UK Kamil

Jason It is the best bed which we ever had. Big advantage of slats is, that there is no problem with mould if you sleep in car for longer period. It is also very easy to change them or remove them to access the storage below. We do not need it, because we can fold the bed.

| I can see the benefits! If I can Fabricate a similar design myself then It would defiantly save on space and weight. I just looked at the pics you have on: http://delica.rajce.idnes.cz/ and They have given me lots of Idea's, I will defiantly be going down a similar route. Cracking stuff, very Practical. And Its a great website as well. Jason Note: & To whoever did the work under & in the vehicle, its very, very good, I certainly don't recall seeing any of the kit for sale in the uk, Neat welds, plumbing for the various tanks. 10/10. | |

Is it standard on the vehicle? - I would like a similar dial for volts, oil temp, axillary fuel tank maybe.
What are the other 2 switches?
Thanks in advance
Jason I am glad that you like the work, thanks. First switch is second fuel tank, second is rear air locker and third has no use at the moment.

| DIFF LOCK?!
How good is it on a 1-10?
There is the option to get Lockers for the Terracan but im not to keen on it, I hear alot of stories about locker malfunction and destroyed diffs etc.
Id like to get an electric winch 1st. The way I look at it: With a Winch you WOULD make it up or over an obstacle. With a Diff Lock you COULD make it up or over and obstacle.

| So, now that I've acquired a 1995 Delica Exceed, I've sussed out all the various buttons for the seating, but ... It still only converts to two single beds by folding the driver/passenger seats and the second row captain's chairs. What's the best method to create a double bed, because even if used as two singles, it's 'undulating' and not flat. I would assume a large lump of double bed-sized foam may be involved? NOTE: The two back row seats will be folded permanently to create space for a fridge, cooker, baggage. | |
