Hey guys hope everyone is all good cheers1

Will be purchasing a land rover defender in the near future and have a question that I don't know if anyone can help adore

I am going to look at changing the engine however the question is as an example if I want to place a jaguar engine and gear box does it matter which transfer box I use?

Any help would be fab thumbsup

Welcome! clapping

That's a new one, never heard of a Jag engine conversion before. What engine and why are the two questions that spring to mind?

So I have seen a successful 4.2 supercharged jaguar engine conversion. I have tried contacting the people but can't get any answers. I am asking to see if any transfer case can be used (maybe needing an adaptor plate and custom shaft) mainly so the planning stage is completely robust.

A lot of planning going on haha

One of the great things about the Defenders is how adaptable they are...if you can imagine it, it is probably possible. I do wonder sometimes why people want to pile massive horsepower into something with the aerodynamics and handling characteristics of a very large brick...good luck to you though!

Haha. The very large brick is the look and style I've admired for years. (could be why I have a bad taste in most things haha)
