Adventure Southside, South Germany: Fri 24 - Sun 26 June 2016

Following the success last October of “Adventure Northside”, the first ever overland/bushcraft show held in Germany (located in Vethem, north Germany), the organisers Europe Events Ltd. have launched a brand new event scheduled for 24-26 June 2016 –

Adventure Southside
Lochmühle Adventure Park

South Germany

The venue located at the northwest end of Lake Constance is truly wonderful. Featuring its own hotel, restaurant and farmyard animals galore, it is a magical playground for both children and adults alike.
Overland vehicles such as expedition trucks and campervans, 4x4s, adventure bikes, quads and bushcraft/survival skills will all be represented in the trade stands, seminars and vehicle displays.

Plus ...

Adventure Southside will also feature two off-road courses for 4x4s, quads and adventure bikes!
Add into the mix overnight & weekend camping with fire-pits and evening entertainment, you have a show worthy of the name.

Sounds like a good one, we are looking at going to the Hubb the weekend before so might not have enough cash for your show.

Shame, but it'll be near impossible to do the two. Besides the expense (which would be considerable), even for you as an ex-lorry driver who is used to long distances.

Adventure Southside is way down near the Swiss border - which of course is the point of the exercise. Most of the German, Austrian and Italian manufacturers of expedition trucks are based in Bavaria or just over the adjoining borders, so it'll be ideal for them. Unfortunately a step too far for you though!

Apparently Danny from World of Bumpers will be joining us at Adventure Southside. He's going to fly down to Zurich, easier than driving.

Had to giggle at 1:38 - it shows a herb garden, one of the herbs is called 'currykraut'.

Yes I am  (was) good at long distance driving, but SWMBO will not let me now.

But am sure it will come together for you.

I am at the Le Mans 24 hour race the weekend before and was looking at doing the Castle route from Heidelberg to Fussen afterwards. Then returning to Le Mans for the classic race 3 weeks later, thus not needing to cross the channel 4 times.

It looks like LM to the show is about 520 miles so I'm looking at doing the show then doing the Castle route after then back to Le Mans, do I need to buy advance tickets to the show?

It will be a lot of road driving but well worth the effort, 11 medieval towns & villages with castles and fantastic scenery, if anybody fancies joining me for the Castle run they are more than welcome, I'm hoping to do it in 20 parsects sorry about the Starwars reference

Right route sorted, I'm leaving Le Mans on the Monday and driving to the Southside show should be arriving around Wednesday / Thursday is the campsite open ?

After the show I'm driving to Fussen to start the Castle / Romantic route driving north to Heidelberg over a 2 week period any advise on German campsites would be greatly received as I don't know that area of Germany very well ?

Well ... what an amazing event!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jut back tonight at 2am via local bar where Ralf & I had a full blown meal at 11pm when we got back from Germany - try doing that in the UK! Love 'em here in Spain, or should I say Catalonia!
