Suppose I'd best update this thread, it's only been 4 1/2 years since I started it
A few months after we got back from Norway with it I ended up poking lots of holes in the chassis prior to MOT time so ended up fitting a galv chassis on th drive at home (a lot easier than I expected) and it kept going as daily driver until I sold it late last year barely run in with a genuine 325,000 miles on it
As far as I know that was on the original engine, gearbox, transferbox and axles too.
Didn't really want to get rid of it but knew it was going to start needing some work doing that I didn't really have the rime or inclination to do so fiured it was best to go while it was still half decent.
I'd had a haggling for an L400 Delica for a long time so ended up going that route.
Even at the age it was and with the big milage, I managed to buy a tidy Delia with sub 85,000 miles on it, an 18 month old motorbike and still have some change left over so fairly chuffed so far.
