my top ten 4295_211
On the Route plan for the First Free Spirit 4x4 Derbyshire Treasure Hunt early 2010, yes that is a lorry wheel chock, before the X-brake was fitted ( a must for a landy )
my top ten Lr08_m10
and finally this picture has to be one of the all time greats,
not the view but if you look closely at the gravel to the side of the land rover you will see a golden shine in the gravel, well this is my car keys, roof box keys and house keys, with my land rover ( known as pinky ) i have a seperate ignition key in a hidden place an another under the sun visor well for some reason i was using the one under the sun visor and then went up to go and put a flag up on the roof rack and cut a tie wrap so i grabbed my keys with pen knife on them did what i needed to do then dropped them by accident, i remeber dropping them but as people where taking pictures i soon forgot and we moved on to our next stop at europes biggest off-road site 10 miles up the road needed to empty the roof box so that we could go off-road safely and realised we had dropped the keys. fortunatly later that day the route went back past that layby so i found them ( 4 hours later ) and still have them now normally fastened to me,
raises a point though if you are overlanding and loose your keys what is your back up plan?? i know mine ( spare key hidden in a safe place or two on the vehicle and then inside the vehicle aswell just to be safe

hope you enjoyed the pictures
kieran

i think i must be about at 10

I think Kieran spent as much time on his roof rack as actually driving Pinky. He was either up there fixing flags or horns, sorting though boxes of spare parts, unloading crates of beer - or in this case, waiting patiently for rescue (he would always head for the deepest mud-hole or water obstacle).

Holds a lot of memories that Landy, it's how a vehicle should be. clapping

Is that a house I spy? Talk about 'bleak house', wonder if they ever see the sun there.
Not for me, don't mind the isolation, but the weather! affraid

GIVE ME SUN. sunny cheers
