Excellent choice.  I can see this thread getting very busy, especially when we get back from Bad Kiss.  So many variants of G Wagens over there it makes your mouth water.

Gemini, it's a short wheelbase, only two doors.

Still thinking of having a look at the military G in Jacksons.  Just happens I've got a run up to Glasgow on Sunday so would be silly not to pop in on my way home, just to take a look mind

Just as well you didn't spray it a sand colour (no pun intended), otherwise a sprinkle of Sahara dust would have turned it into a giant Swan Vesta striker pad!

And what's wrong with tinfoil? Got me out of trouble in the past fuse-wise, and trout is beautiful when stuffed with herbs, wrapped up in a tinfoil parcel and placed on hot coals. Mmmmmm!!!!!

Surprised you haven't sold the G-Wagen's engine+box yet. No bids either on the quad, not happening at the mo. I've no cash at present, so don't expect a bid from me. Would have thought that's a fair price, so expect some last minute bidding ... hopefully!
