IKA a PONO - Dependable Warrior (Moari-NZ)Watch the video
https://youtu.be/uj5KEAOlGKsThis is a real Overlander (not a disco with a roofrack) and it's your lucky day....
Up for grabs is a Nissan Patrol Y61, 3.0l Deisel and all the expedition kit with it. This vehicle is awesome and ready to go. As standard this truck has select-able 4wd-2wd, detachable anti-roll-bars and Axle diff locks. The reason I'm passing the torch is our expanding family and our new business plans. 'IKA' has been lead vehicle in our travel company OVERLAND JUNKIES for a couple of years and has completed many short expeditions to north Africa and Europe totally faultlessly.
Part ex considered.
She comes with everything.... EVERYTHING.
Here goes.... Well serviced ultra strong base vehicle with, Hannibal Impi roof tent, Custom made 'bat wing' awning, Garmin 451 marine GPS (including waypoints of routes traveled), 5 Brand new cooper stt discoverer tyres (-6k Tunisia trip), Rear assister springs, Front spot lights, Shovel, Blanked out rear windows, CB radio, Tmax compressor, 300w inverter, Water and fuel jerry cans (empty) inc' spout, 2 waffle boards, twin batteries. In the back is a custom built storage draw system, This includes a tap fed from the jerry cans which are mounted in a rack behind the rear seats. There are six draws each approx 300 x 300 x 1000mm. Set in two layers, the top three are the same. The bottom middle is the same as the top but the bottom right contains a two ring gas burner and a camping gaz bottle (full), bottom left has a work surface/lid.
I have also included 2 plastic storage boxes, plates, bowls, cutlery, pots, pans etc, a small tool kit and bedding in the tent but your welcome to leave those and use your own.
That's about it, this truck is ready to rock. Chuck a few clothes in, wallet and passport then book yourself a ferry and go see the world!
You may have got this far and thought 'there is no winch' or 'wheres the massive fuel tanks'? Well.... We are quite experienced at this overlanding thing- its my job. What we have learnt over the years and countless miles is to travel light. If the terrain you're crossing requires a winch- you should not be there alone so recover with the other vehicle. With one jerry and a full tank this truck will do 700 miles- If you drive that far without seeing fuel, you're lost. I will say that if you are going overlanding there is a lot to know, knowledge is priceless and weighs nothing!
The truck is currently moored near Whitby, North Yorkshire. Come and have a look, give me a ring (07875320833) and ill put the kettle on. Email
