| For the ADVENTURE OVERLAND show I want to produce some mugs with travel related slogans, proverbs and amusing sayings on them.
The most obvious is Carpe diem, but I'm sure you can come up with something more interesting - any ideas?

| Some of my favorites sayings are:
-'its almost like I knew what I was doing'
-'Stick with me and you won't go far wrong'
or maybe:
'Here i sit broken hearted, I bought all the flash gear and my truck won't start.' _________________ "We've got a date with Destiny...and she's ordered the lobster!"

| Probably a bit much for a mug, but there is an old story about Davy Crockett, the American trapper from the 1800s. He was once asked by a reporter during a visit to a city if he ever got lost up in the mountains. Davy's reply was:
'Never been lost...but have been a might confused for a few weeks at a time!' _________________ "We've got a date with Destiny...and she's ordered the lobster!"

A play on Gold Rig's old favourite about the kid's inheritance would be good:- Overlanding ... Spending the kid's inheritance! In keeping with the theme of the show. |

| I still like the lord of the ringd quote - so much in fact its going on the back of our truck
"Not all those who wander are lost"
Or the classic
"I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move."
By Robert Louis Stevenson

| To paraphrase confucios " a journey of a thousand leagues begins with a single Jeep" or Landy or nissan etc
A true story whilst lost in Ireland... I stopped in a country lane to ask this old chap if he could direct me to Port liose, he looked puzzled and my heart sank, he lifted his eyes to heaven and rubbed his chin and I had hope, he opened his mouth and said "Well now, I wouldn't be startin from ere if I was you." To which I had no reply, anyway whilst writing this diatribe I've thought of another...
Back in the 60's when dad used to take the family out on a Sunday in our Ford Pop' (remember those) I would always ask "where are we going dad" and his reply was always "jus followin the front wheels son" which meant he had no idea and we would always finish up in a farm yard or a quarry. He loved roads where the grass grew in the middle, the more grass the more he loved it.
As in life it is in travel... It's not about the destination! _________________ -- - --0lllllll0-- ())------()) Water covers 3/4 of the earths surface, 4x4's cover the rest. |

| Reminds me of my old trucking days. We were in Northern Ireland looking for an Army barracks (long before SatNav) and didn't have a map between us! I pulled over and asked an old guy for the quickest way to the barracks, he replied "will you be walking or driving? I responded "driving" he answered, "yes, that'll be the quickest way" |

| Well if we're going down that road ... once, middle of the day, I was in a tiny village in Wales and the sign on the cafe door stated CLOSED FOR LUNCH |

| Tom, I think you should include cartoons for the cups because these are priceless. if you saw this stuff on tv you just wouldn't believe it! Just had a thought guy's, if we keep supplying Tom with this much good stuff surely we should get royalties? _________________ -- - --0lllllll0-- ())------()) Water covers 3/4 of the earths surface, 4x4's cover the rest. |
