UK to Mongolia

Hi all,

We are 5 weeks in to a 5 month trip from the UK to Mongolia.
We are currently in Samarkand in Uzbekistan - in a bright red Land Rover Defender 110.

Our itinerary is Bukhara and Khiva - before turning round and heading East again into Tajikistan, Kyrgzistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Mongolia - before making the long trip home.

Would love to hear from anyone else on the road, or anyone who has done a similar trips and would like to share any info.

Glad you are enjoying your trip, sounds like a good plan, maybe one day get out that way, at the moment planing a trip to Moroco, with 4 other overlanders on this forum.

We did a month in Morocco last year RoamingMan. It was awesome! A great country to visit.

Currently in Khiva in Uzbekistan after a surprisingly easy 460kms today across the desert - mostly on a brand new motorway! We still left at 05:30 to avoid the worst of the heat.
