| Hi Tom if that's Berts that is a good motor, I can vouch to that, be a good buy for someone. | |

| It is and it isn't. Actually owned by Jason, the big guy on the gate at ADVENTURE OVERLAND last year, but Bert at Bedworth 4x4 carried out the restoration - know what you mean.
Yep, it's a lovely motor. Selling it to fund his part in the NE Morocco trip in October. Doesn't want to but it's all down to money as usual. Ho hum, it's the way of the world.

| I saw Jason's machine and drooled over it at the show last year. One of those occasions when your mind starts leaping for all the bizarre, twisted reasons for why it just makes sense to buy it. It is a beautiful truck and with the coil springs removes my one and only complaint with the Series III as an overlander (having crossed big chunks of Africa in a leaf sprung one). But I also know myself well enough, if I did buy it within a few weeks I would have the roof off, door tops off (or cut off) and would ruin a great restoration job. Good luck to Jason with the sale. | |

| Landy sold - bargain price I reckon - £5,100.
You won't believe this Yoda, but it was bought by a guy in Luthermuir, Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire ... just down the road from you!

| I hope Jason doesn't regret selling it in a few years, I've lost count of the cars I've sold and lived to regret it a few years later. But as you say Tom sometimes needs must. | |

| Obviously an enthusiast, here's what he emailed me tonight:- I am doing up a 1982 88" 7 seater which I bought 9/10 years ago. Taught my sons to drive in it, used it now and again, kept it in a open sided shed, 6/7 years ago a wheel went flat and nobody got round to changing it until December just past as I felt we were needing another 4x4 for the days it snows or pours with rain, pulled it round to the workshop, topped up the engine oil, put water in radiator, put on a new battery and turned the key, wee bit of choke and she is off as if she had only parked up for a couple of months.
Started out it was really only needing the footwells, a spring and bushes replaced to pass a mot. Turned into a a bigger project, approx. £2,000 of new parts including replacing the original 30 year cloth seats with new deluxe vinyl Britpart seats so any body could jump into it in either dirty or clean clothes as long as they had a duster to hand. Just discovered last week my seat frames do not take the new seats, search Land Rover seats on eBay and a lovely white 12 seater pops up and here we are.Like it! I was looking for the post that relates to your 130 camper - what section of the forum is it in?
