| We could argue that, but I wouldn't like to see another site member end up in a financial hole without saying something because of a vehicle. | |

| In that case go for it, it's only money. I dare say Assassin that you've tried Atkinson Vos, the authority on Mogs in the UK? www.unimogs.co.uk | |

| I am very fond for Land Rovers, having restored a series 3 and modified a 110, and I will have another one sooner or later. But I also own this little toy and find it a joy to work on compared to the Land Rovers. I know it isn't an overlanding option given its 30mph top speed but it is great fun. It seems to be so well put together and thought out. For a 1968 vehicle to have 3 diff lock, crawler gears and still to be able to go at 30mph really is good engineering. | |

| Go for the divorce.
Cars are much cheaper than women, don't answer back, and take a lot less servicing. | |

| End of an era ... RIP. A G-Wagen? What a load of difflocks! Hope you realise you've gone from a big Meccano set that costs peanuts to modify (as oodles of relatively cheap accessories are easily available ... not to mention parts) to a vehicle that although capable off-road can be a bit of a money-pit. Certainly a challenge, hope it works out for you. | |

| Can't argue with that. I've been hanging on to my RR ambulance for four years now in the hope that someday it'll metamorphasise from an ugly bug into something beautiful ... and still the wait continues! Lack of funds an' all that, but over the last week it's having a heart transplant (another 300 Tdi with only 60,000 on the clock), then it's off to my mate for some badly-needed welding - the driver's door falling off may prevent further MOT's being granted - then on to another mate to have the interior finally fitted. Good thing come to those who wait? So yes, why not try something different? It's just that a G can be expensive, so as long as you're aware of the fact (and I'm sure you are) then go for it. As you say, having built four 90's already, it's time for a new challenge. Still a load of difflocks though ... two as standard in fact! | |

| I suspect that after you renovate the quad you've just acquired it will be out of my price range ... or maybe not? I suppose it depends on how much time and effort you want to put into it, as well as what standard of restoration of course.
What I'm after are a couple of cheap (naturally - no surprise there!!!) machines that I can use for shows. These will be used by my Trade Stand Manager who shows the traders to their pitches when they arrive, and one for myself so basically I can potter around all weekend meeting and greeting. These of course need to be presentable, but definitely not 'bling'. As long as they run and don't look like a bag o'nails, then that's perfect.
So, this being the case, I would be very interested in either purchasing the Honda quad you have at present - or if you or anyone else come across anything similar that can be brought back to life, then please let me know as I'd be very interested.
Cheers! | |

| I won't need to MOT it or a second quad-type vehicle, but lights of course would are essential even on private ground. We'll see what happens, as and when. | |
