PostSubject: Ireland overland   Ireland overland EmptyTue Jun 26, 2012 7:44 am

Hi all, finally found my way on to the forum. I'm planning a little trip over to the emerald ilse as a shake down for the newest addition to the fleet, (nissan patrol). If anyone has any must see's or recomended routes I'd love to hear of them.
Thanks James Howard

Hi James ... you found us! An official welcome from yours truly. cheers

Incidentally, James' company "Overland Junkies" has booked a Trade Stand at the ADVENTURE OVERLAND SHOW in October.
Just thought I'd mention it as I rarely mention ADVENTURE OVERLAND on the forum. Rolling Eyes
Perhaps I should mention ADVENTURE OVERLAND more often?

Been a while since I've been to Paddyland. I've relatives in the north and south of the border, so went as a child. Always remembered how beautiful it can be, but of course I was too young to drive in those days. However, went back late 1990's and did some off-roading with Northern Ireland Land Rover Club. They have some great terrain up there and I've heard it's just as good in the Republic.

Lost touch with the folk over there unfortunately so I'm afraid I can't pass on any contacts, but how about getting in touch with Northern Ireland 4 Wheel Drive Club ( www.4wdni.co.uk ) or Irish Four Wheel Drive Club ( www.ifwdc.com ), sure they make be a great '1st port of call'.
