PostSubject: Buck PackLite Skinner Review   Sat Sep 10, 2011 11:34 am

Doing another review on a very useful tool. The Buck PackLite Skinner.

Here are a few images:

A extremely sharp skinning knife, straight out of the box. I have used It several times now, and it is by far the best skinning knife I have ever used. I have only used it on small prey, Pheasant and rabbit. Not only great for skinning and food preparation but capable of bush-craft work.

The knife is one piece construction, with sections cut out, making it lightweight and attractive. The tactile graphite coating (Black stuff) is very tough, it doesn't scratch, flake and offers excellent grip and control in hot and wet conditions.

The blade is approximately 3 + 1/2 inches long, 7mm thick construction on the top tapered down to a fine point. Out of the box sharp, The high grade 420HC stainless steel blade and frame of 420HC steel ensure corrosion resistance and make the knife easy to clean, heat tempered With a 50 year Life time Warrenty!

The Packlite skinner comes with a sturdy heavy duty scabbard. With buckle button ensuring the blade is locked in to position. There is a stitched strap on the back, enabling you to wear the scabbard and knife on a belt if desired.

The Buck Packlite Skinner is sharper, more sturdy and lighter than any "food preparing knife" you can buy off the shelf or on the internet. It handles all the nitty gritty aspects of hunted food preparation, easily slicking through cartilage, tendons and muscle.

Finally If you like hunting for rabbits, pheasant, deer and enjoy the entire process from preparing food to eating the finished "pie" or "stew" then this is a elegant, essential tool.

Best of all its £27.00!!! And can be found here: http://heinnie.com/Knives/Buck-Knives/Buck-Knives-PakLite-Skinner-Large-Black/p-92-125-6419/
