Just for your information benefit, the Pan Borneo Expedition is an annual 4wd overland expedition to explore the mystical island of Borneo which spans over 3 Nations - Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia over a period of five (5) years. The Pan Borneo Expedition is thus divided into 5 chapters. Each chapter comprises of an exhilarating experience designed for ten (10) days expedition covering key destinations of significant geological, ecological, cultural and historical importance.
The theme for Chapter 1 of the Pan Borneo Expedition is 'One Island, 3 Nations, The Journey to The Equator'
This year's 10 days expedition is a journey which covers the island of Borneo over 3 Nations from the city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the largest populated city in the northern Borneo to the exotic equator city of Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The expedition will flag off at Kota Kinabalu City, Sabah, Malaysia on December 1st, 2014 ends in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The expedition is a one way journey which cover more than 2,000 Km of exhilarating drive through islands, beaches, bridges, mountains, rivers, rainforest, villages and cities. Participants will be treated with breathtaking views of Borneo's geological, ecological, historical landscapes and cultures of what Borneo has to offer to the world!
