hello
did a little run out ,from gambia to cap skirring in the casamasse, very nice part of the world, the red tape at the boarders was easy.going in to senegal from this side cost me 2300 cfa(under £3) as appossed to 250 euros on the north boarder.the run down to cap skirring was intresting.loads of checkpoints.police,customs,army.most villages have traffic calming measure,by laying tree trucks across the road ,the road across some of the marsh land is intresting to say the least,on the way back we had a intresting 20 minutes with the police looking for ganja, had the car turn out.at one point was inspecting the fluff in my pockets(i was waiting for the rubber glove any time)needless to say he did'nt find any(the wife had it) .getting back in to gambia was straight forward, with the added bonus of another 28 days on our passports, which saved us a 1000 dalasi extention charge, and a 2 month permit to drive a none gambian reg car.my last permit was for 3 weeks.i am expecting some grief with that one at the next stop, the customs lady put the entering and leaving dates in the wrong boxes, but what the hell.T. I. A. (this is africa) regards chris
